This Privacy Policy explains how MyMoneyLeak collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the website, create an account, purchase a subscription, upload a supported CSV or PDF bank statement, or contact support.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use MyMoneyLeak, we may collect:

  • Support communications: information you provide when you contact us about your account, a report, billing, or a technical issue.
  • Purchase information: subscription and transaction records supplied by our payment provider. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve MyMoneyLeak.
  • Process uploaded statements and generate the analysis or report requested by the user.
  • Create and manage accounts, subscriptions, authentication, and access permissions.
  • Process purchases, prevent fraud, and handle billing or refund requests.
  • Respond to support requests and operational communications.
  • Monitor performance, diagnose errors, secure the service, and prevent misuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Uploaded Bank Statements

MyMoneyLeak does not require you to provide your online-banking username or password. You choose which supported CSV or PDF statement to upload. Uploaded statement data is processed to provide the requested analysis.

The exact storage location and retention period for uploaded files, extracted transactions, and generated reports depend on the product configuration associated with your account. We retain this information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing reports, maintaining account history, resolving support requests, securing the service, and meeting legal obligations.

Do not upload a statement unless you are authorized to provide and process the information it contains.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

MyMoneyLeak may use cookies, session storage, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, theme preferences, session continuity, and product functionality.

We also use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand website usage and performance. These services may process technical and usage information according to their own terms and privacy documentation. We do not intentionally send the contents of your uploaded bank statement to analytics services.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout. Lemon Squeezy and its payment partners process the payment and billing information required to complete a purchase, manage a subscription, prevent fraud, calculate applicable taxes, and provide transaction records.

MyMoneyLeak does not store complete payment-card numbers. Payment information is handled under the privacy terms of the payment provider used at checkout.

6. When We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information:

  • To hosting, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, communications, customer-support, payment, fraud-prevention, and other service providers that help operate MyMoneyLeak.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
  • To investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our agreements.
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • With your direction or consent.

7. Data Retention

We retain categories of personal information for different periods based on why the information was collected. Relevant factors may include the duration of your account or subscription, whether the information is needed to provide a report, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud, maintain security logs, comply with tax or accounting rules, or establish and defend legal claims.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, aggregate, or de-identify it, subject to legal and operational requirements.

8. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a personal-data breach occurs, we will assess the incident and provide notices to regulators or affected individuals when and within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to MyMoneyLeak, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information. You may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or to appeal a decision about a privacy request.
