How it works

A straightforward way to review the transactions in your statement.

Export the statement you want to examine, upload it, and review recurring payments, possible duplicate charges, fees, and spending changes with the source details kept visible.

The process

Three steps, with no live bank connection.

The workflow is deliberately simple. MyMoneyLeak organizes the information in the uploaded file, but the original transactions remain available so the user can review the evidence.

01

Export your statement

Download a CSV or PDF statement from your bank. You choose the file to review, and no live bank login or permanent account connection is required.

02

Review the transactions

Upload the file and review recurring payments, possible duplicate charges, possible fees, and spending changes with the original merchant, date, and amount kept visible.

03

Decide what needs attention

Use the supporting transaction information to decide what should be kept, checked, canceled, disputed, or discussed with a provider.

What is reviewed

Focused on practical transaction questions.

Findings are presented cautiously. A similar transaction is a possible duplicate, not a confirmed error. A recurring payment is not automatically unwanted. The user keeps the final judgment.

Recurring payments

Repeating charges are grouped by merchant and payment frequency, with an estimated annual cost where the available data supports it.

Possible duplicate charges

Similar merchant, date, and amount combinations are marked for review. A match is not treated as proof of a billing error.

Spending changes

Changes are compared only against the statement periods available. More than one period may be needed before a useful pattern can be shown.

Bill comparison

Previous and current recurring charges can be compared before the user contacts the provider directly.

MyMoneyLeak explains what it found while leaving the final decision with you.

MyMoneyLeak does not automatically cancel subscriptions, dispute transactions, or contact providers. It organizes the available information and leaves the next action with the person reviewing the statement.

Bill-lowering guidance provides supporting figures, researched options, and practical talking points to help you prepare for your own conversation with the provider. MyMoneyLeak does not negotiate on your behalf or guarantee a lower price.

Common questions

Clear answers before you upload.

How is my statement handled?

MyMoneyLeak reviews the CSV or PDF file you choose to upload. A live bank connection is not required. For details about retention, deletion, and security practices, review the MyMoneyLeak Privacy Policy.

Do I need to provide my bank login?

No. You export the statement yourself and upload only the file you want reviewed. MyMoneyLeak does not require your online banking username or password.

What counts as a recurring payment?

A recurring payment is a charge that appears to repeat for the same or a similar merchant at a regular interval. The user should still review the original transactions before deciding whether the payment is wanted.

Can it identify possible duplicate charges?

Yes. Similar transactions can be grouped when merchant names, dates, and amounts match closely. They are presented as possible duplicates for review rather than confirmed billing errors.

Can it help me prepare for a bill negotiation?

Yes. MyMoneyLeak can organize the previous charge, current charge, payment history, and estimated annual difference. You contact the provider and remain responsible for the final decision.

Why might spending changes be unavailable after one upload?

A useful comparison normally requires more than one statement period. With only one period, there may not be enough information to establish a recent baseline.

Which file formats are supported?

MyMoneyLeak supports CSV and PDF bank statements. The available upload options are shown before you select a file.

How much does MyMoneyLeak cost?

Premium access is $9.99 per month or $90 per year. Both billing options include the same core statement review features.
